Holm pendant light

Today I received some information from Aslaugh Copenhagen about the Holm pendant light (below). The lamp was designed by Kim Holm's grandfather, Anton Fogh Holm (1922-2005), who was an Architect and a handball player in the Danish second division. Kim says of her grandfather that every time he was staring dreamingly, you could be certain that he was contemplating some new designs or wacky little inventions. He filled the family home with homemade tables, chairs, colour paintings, coat racks and lamps....

At the beginning, the Holm lamp was made of very thin , almost transparent pinewood veener, then he made it from cardboard in various colours, almost gold...the kind of carboard you get from smoked salmon packaging...Once the salmon was eaten, he would turn the packaging into a lamp. The lamp is no longer made of cardboard and like the Norm 69, Norm 06 and Norm 03 from Normann Copenhagen, they can be assembled without tools or glue. The lamp retails at about £70 and if you like it, let me know, we may stock it in the future....
