Hannah Tofalos chinaware

There is something touching and romantic about the work of ceramic designer Hannah Tofalos. I love how she combines lovely vintage looking patterns on a clean-lined contemporary egg cup or stackable salt & pepper.
Hannah graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in July 2005 and since then has been building up her business Hannah Tofalos Homeware by continuing designing, exhibiting at all the major fairs and selling her work in galleries and retail outlets.
She says that she had a love of ceramics since secondary school and continued to specialise in the material throughout her A-levels, art foundation and University. What she finds irresistible about ceramics is its many possibilities; there are endless ways of manipulation through texture, surface pattern and colour and she always had a flare for exploiting these qualities through her work.
However, my heart still goes to the beautiful chinaware from Kathleen Hills.

Her egg cube (above) has always been a best-seller on BODIE and FOU since we launched it and her new single pendant lights (below) are selling like hot cakes.

My favourite is Kathleen 'Made in England' rolling pin which embosses pastry with 'Made in England'...love it!!!
