The move from hell.....part 2

So we've made it! We've finally moved into our brand new warehouse in North London....
In the end, we did the move over 2 days and 3 vans and I can't thank enough Calvin and his team at The Small Move company in Bristol for their fantastic job and friendly attitude despite the numbers of things that went wrong...
So move went fine, everything fitted in the vans, the floor paint of our unit wasn't dry yet so we had to move all 400 boxes in the unit next door to move them again in our unit the day after and frankly I couldn't have done without it but in the scale of things, at least we had somewhere to put our stock and desks temporarily.
Our phone and internet connection was not ready yet but BT Business has been fantastic and they have sent us a USB key to get a connection at least on one computer and a phone on which they are forwarding our calls...Not ideal as we have to switch one computer to use another one but at least we are not cut off from the world
Electricity....also a temporary thing...the builders ran an extension cable for us to plug in our IT but of course the fuse decided to die at 5pm when it was pitch black outside and we couldn't see a single thing in the warehouse and the cherry on the top.....
Calvin used the headlights of his van to light up the warehouse and put our shelves together but 20 min later his battery went dead....At that stage, I thought it was quite funny and my conclusion is that it's better to have a lot of stressful things happening rather than a big one because in the end, there is so much to deal with that you just get on with it rather than stressed about it....and of course we don't have any heating yet...
So the day I run a multi-million £ empire and I have time to write an autobiography, I will have lots of little stories on what a piece of cake it was to run a business!
